The Skansen Park Stud is located in the dense bushlands of Dural, north west of Sydney www.cyberhorse.net.au. Due to the annual threat of bushfires, owner Lesley Ann Taylor required a system to protect the stable. The horses are extremely valuable to Lesley and the main source of income to the stud.
Solution
After scoping out the stables and surrounding area, the proposed solution included affixing 20 sprinkler heads, ring main, sprinkler lines and heat sensors to the stable. An existing 100,000 litre tank is used as the water source.
20 X HD10 sprinkler heads, each drawing 200 litres of water per minute
1 X 10 hp diesel pump with electric start and attached battery charge to ensure battery is fully charged at al times.
Connection to the existing underground 100,000 litre underground tank.
